Thank you for visiting the AIS-DSD Support Group!
We are a vibrant community of individuals with DSD traits, parents of individuals with DSD traits, and medical providers. All of us are here for you, so please know you are not alone.
The AIS-DSD Support Group offers support of various forms including resources about various differences of sex development, newsletters, and most importantly, the ability to connect with similarly situated others.
Each year we hold an annual conference that lasts a long weekend usually in June or July. While the conference is held in a different location each year (for example, in 2014 we met in San Francisco and in 2015 we met in Cincinnati), the core of the conference remains the same. Medical professionals speak to our members about scientific advancements, parents discuss their experiences with other parents, and adults with intersex traits share their thoughts and feelings in private sessions. In the evenings, we also make room for some fun including karaoke and dancing. The annual conference is truly an amazing experience for individuals with intersex/ DSD traits as well as all who attend.
I am delighted you found our support group. We are here to help any way that we can. If you would like more information or have questions, please visit the “contact us” page on our website.
We are a nonprofit organization. We run exclusively on donations. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, you can do so by visiting the “donate” page on our website. The generosity of our donors helps our organization in many ways, including supporting our scholarship fund which helps fund the travel expenses to our annual conference for families and individuals in need.
Welcome to AIS-DSD Support Group!
Warmly,
Kimberly Saviano
